SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
We strive to add value across the entire ecosystem in order to support and empower the local community by creating new job opportunities that will attract and retain the new generations at their homeland.
We provide assistance to people in need organizing regular donations of basic goods, clothes and food. Together, we can address challenges, foster equality, and create opportunities for a brighter tomorrow.
Also, we value the importance of community, therefore, we regularly perform environmental activities such as field cleaning actions, plant trees in the school garden, clean-up events in the village of Pyrgos and in the wider region of Asterousia. Collaboration is the main key for our eco-friendly practices. By working together, we build relationships among us, while we contribute to the improvement of the local ecosystem.
SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES
We firmly believe in sustainability, as our core goal is to maintain a self-sufficient, ethical and ecological process continuously over time.
In fact, our passion is to grow traditional seeds originated from precedent generations, and as a consequence, we can preserve serving high quality food to our children and the entire community.
We take pride in our eco-consciousness, while attempting to spread the meaningfulness towards environmental protection in several practical ways. Mainly by using traditional processes of cultivation without the use of chemical pesticides and fertilizers. Moreover we help the flora and fauna grow in order to be enriched under natural conditions on the island of Crete as well as in surrounding small islands.
Our guests are invited to live a sustainable experience in Crete, where their well-being is improved in a sustainable way while healthy and organic food is served on their table. An authentic farm-to-table experience in Archanes Asterousia, in Heraklion for sustainability enthusiasts!
Furthermore, we love sowing in different places, as well as to provide more and more people with these valuable seeds, so as to support the reproduction of the food chain and generate new types over time.
AGROECOLOGY WORKSHOP
We are committed to supporting bio and cultural diversity, with a focus on small farmer-centered applied research and policies that protect our livelihoods.
We aim to nurture a healthy landscape in which we can grow our food, without depleting the natural resources.
This workshop is designed to empower participants with practical knowledge and hands-on experience that can be applied to diverse farming systems.
